One flagship service
See how patients compare your clinic before they enquire
The MHI Patient Decision Review examines how clearly prospective patients can understand your flagship service, assess its value and compare it with relevant alternatives.
Patients rarely assess your clinic in isolation
Before a prospective patient enquires, they usually weigh your offering against other options. The comparison is rarely limited to a single headline or price.
- Price
- Package contents
- Clinicians
- Regulation
- Technology
- Results timelines
- Follow-up
- Alternatives
Gaps in any of these areas can leave patients with unanswered questions — even when your clinical offering is strong. The review maps where clarity breaks down in the decision journey, without assuming which factors matter most for every clinic.

Review the patient journey
We trace how clearly your service is explained across the pages and touchpoints a cautious patient is likely to read before enquiring.
- 3
Compare three relevant providers
We assess how your presentation compares with three relevant alternatives patients may weigh alongside your clinic.
- 4
Present findings and recommendations
You receive structured findings, prioritised actions and a call to walk through the implications for your team.
Sample output
Illustrative example for a fictional preventative health clinic. Not based on a real client engagement.
- Evidence
- The package page lists the tests included but does not explain what happens after an abnormal finding.
- Implication
- A cautious patient may understand the tests but remain uncertain about the follow-up pathway and potential additional costs.
- Recommended action
- Add a “What happens after your results?” section covering clinical review, referrals, timing and possible additional charges.

- Factual corrections are reviewed independently
- Sponsored visibility, when offered, is clearly labelled
FAQ
What information do you need from us?
We typically need your flagship service name, the public pages you want reviewed, and any competitor context you consider relevant. We may ask clarifying questions about package structure or follow-up pathways before work begins.
How long does the review cover?
The review examines the patient-facing materials available at the time of the assessment — usually your website, booking flow and any linked service pages. It does not audit internal clinical processes or historical performance.
Can we choose the competitors?
You may suggest competitors you believe patients compare against. MHI selects three relevant alternatives based on service type, positioning and what a prospective patient is likely to encounter during research.
Does the review guarantee more enquiries?
No. The review is an independent assessment of how patients understand and compare your service. It may identify clarity or positioning gaps, but it does not guarantee bookings, revenue or conversion increases.
Can we request factual corrections without buying a review?
Yes. Factual corrections to your MHI profile are reviewed independently of any paid service. Use the report-an-issue flow or email hello@modernhealthindex.com if something on MHI is inaccurate.
Will the findings be published publicly?
The review deliverable is provided to your clinic. Findings are not published without your agreement. Any testimonial or case study use is requested separately and is never assumed.
